Description

Are you looking for new tools to help you integrate WIOA goals in your classes? In this session participants will learn about BurlingtonEnglish, an incredibly WIOA-focused program that helps your students successfully reach WIOA outcomes. These include: getting and keeping a job, readiness for future job training and further academic study, as well as preparation for the citizenship process.

Even if you are not WIOA focused, but your goals for your students include accent reduction, being able to navigate the community, improve grammar, dramatically improve listening comprehension, boost citizenship knowledge, or any combination of these, then you will definitely want to find out more about BurlingtonEnglish.

Burlington provides the incredibly unique integration of real-life language acquisition and a highly engaging learning format that has students excited to learn English. Besides providing students with the opportunity to develop digital literacy, BurlingtonEnglish differentiated instruction also provides teachers with everything they need for a highly interactive classroom: instructor-led projectable lessons, printable worksheets and dynamic in-class activities that will get students engaged and developing contextual oral communication as well.

The session will be delivered in the format of a demo-lesson, this way participants will be able to experience the program in action from the teacher's and student’s perspective.

Participants will leave knowing:

  • how to achieve WIOA success utilizing Burlington
  • how BurlingtonEnglish can be incorporated into their existing lessons to help students improve their English language skills.

Bring your own laptop to this workshop if you want to have hands on experience. BurlingtonEnglish works best on a PC.
